More information

Our inaugural event in 2003 was a bigger success than any of us had dared to imagine. We set a goal of raising $5,000, and we ended up making over $12,000, which was donated to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York to fund melanoma research and clinical trial studies.

The golf classic was held on Friday, October 3 at Bristow Manor Golf Club. It was a sunny, but very chilly day. In fact, we were delayed in teeing off because frost had delayed the morning tournament. Consequently, some of our 120 golfers played the last hole or two in the dark. But, everyone finished, and everyone had a great time.

We had 43 hole sponsors, and numerous individuals and merchants donated goods and services for use in our auction and raffle. We really appreciate your support! Click here to read the event program, which recognizes all of our sponsors, donors, and participants.

Sheehy Nissan-Mitsubishi of Manassas graciously provided a car (a Nissan Maxima) and other prizes for a hole-in-one on any of the par 3 holes, but unfortunately, no one collected. Maybe next year!
